This is a real time EveryAuction ? based online Bidflux GPL Perl Auction Software Package, NOT an affiliate website. It's fully functional online web software to start your very own professional online auction web site. The auction software was designed to be customer friendly, with a clean professional design, and very many similarities with that of eBusy itself.
BF Auction Software is based on the EveryAuction? Release Version 1.53 by Matt Hahnfeld. Beeing a rewrite of a Makebid EA Derivate, Main HTML Design came from Joel Holbert (former BIDFLUX) himself. Add-On's & Mod's, found at the former EveryAuction User Forum, where added by Joel. Latest Security Updates will be implemented by Ernie before releasing the final Package. Pages look good, and it all matches well.
From the Programmers View, HTML Programming is rather "lenghty" and uses considerable Server Power to display simple HTML. But due to the "transparent" Source Code Style used by Joel, anyone capable of writing HTML Source will be able to "clean out" the Scripts from uncounted amounts of unneeded print" "\n; statements, many of them only containing single tags like </TD> only...
Users can make a real time payment to their account using online merchants like PayPal.com, 2CheckOut.com, or Authorize.net. The users account will, depending on the Merchat, be credited in real time reflecting the payment made to their accounting file. (User must have one of these merchant accounts to use this feature. They can be turned on or off in the configuration file.
The Webmaster/Administrator can also login to the Accounting Administration and select the Users account to view. There you can credit a Users account, delete a Users account, send an invoice to a User and much, much more...
The BF Auction Software itself worked fine and was quite popular, it was offered for an acceptable price of $299.00 as "Turn Key Offer". Then, after seemingly "ripping" a german MySql DB Version 3.5 Ultimate Auction (also based on much EveryAuctionDB Code) into, what he called, the new "Bidflux MySql Auction 2.0", Joel's Business Behavior came under
heavy Fire. Bidflux then disappeared from the Scene. Too bad, because the V2.0 Software was basically ready, but probably to complex (hundred's of Files & Templates) to "manage" for jholbert. Or then, UltimateAuction or it's german Affiliate possibly pulled the (legal) Plug on him. Some late signs show that Joel may try to return to the Auctionscript-Scene under www.vectsoft.com, displaying "AJ PHP Software" as well as his unfamous "Bidflux v.2.0 UA-Ripoff", offered now as Vectsoft Auction v.1.1.
